Pints in America
|
Yesterday, I got thrown by an American asking for a ten ounce beer on my round.
Took a long couple of seconds to remember that there are 20 fluid ounces in a pint.
And he got his half.
And today I've remembered that there are 16 fluid ounces in an American pint, so I don't really understand what's going on. Why didn't he ask for an 8 ounce beer?
Do Americans use British pints for beer?

American, pints are 16oz. Can get 20oz in some bars. At baseball stadiums I've had 25oz for some strange reason

A pints 568 ml I believe. A pints an imperial old fationed measurement, inches, feet etc.being similar. The rest of the civilisation uses the metric system as it makes sense.North amaricans are gobby halfwit aggravating fucking wankers in my humble.

Sounds like a bit of a weirdo.Americans don't sell Imperial pints(except Guinness).
That's SF anyway.
